Feedback from a selection of workshops

This workshop was recommended to me by my supervisor in school and it exceeded my expectations. This was my first time diving into a course related to Montessori and thanks to Karen, it has really opened my eyes on how beautiful this method really is. I can now confidently apply this knowledge within my classroom. Beautiful workshop. Thank you so much for your wisdom and effort.

I thoroughly enjoyed every single evening with Karen. The presentation was easy to follow and enjoyable to listen to. Karen radiates knowledge and passion for her work. It is lovely to experience it all.Thank you Karen for an inspiring workshop!

I enjoyed the workshop very much. Karen had a lot of experiences and I loved how she connected it with the theory.Again, thank you so much, it was inspiring.

Thank you Karen, for such a clear and inspiring webinar. I really appreciated how thoughtfully you explained each step and shared practical insights. It was very enriching for my Montessori practice.

I attended Karen's workshop and was truly impressed—she was exceptionally well-prepared with amazing, insightful information that kept everyone engaged from start to finish.
Her session was meticulously structured and planned, ensuring not even a single minute was wasted.

Karen commands her topic with authority and delivers it flawlessly, making complex ideas clear and actionable.

It was amazing working by Karen on observation. After participating in this session, I genuinely feel that observation is indeed a form of artistry. Very well explained. Thank you so much!Thank you so much Karen for the amazing workshop. I learned so much about observation from you.

It was a very well delivered professional development course that has given me ideas to work on developing my observation skills as well as documenting the all-important child development information that is very important to plan for their curriculum.Karen I have been inspired by your knowledge that you have shared with us and am trying to encourage my team to also attend in the future.

Karen was a sweet and very humble person, her anecdotes made the session lively and relatable. She provided us with a great tool for observation, looking forward to putting them into practice. Thanks Montessori Institute Prague for hosting this.loved the way you planned and presented the sessions. Thanks for patiently answering all our questions.

I really enjoyed every moment of the workshop, the information was very clear and the stories reinforced the understanding of the ideas. Thanks for your passion and love of sharing.

I loved the concrete examples given, the videos of the classroom, anecdotes and analysis of real work curves over time. I also loved the precision with which the observation and record-keeping system was developed, and felt that it really brought the 'scientific' part back to 'scientific pedagogy'. Thank you as well for the materials provided.Content relevance, Speaker's expertise, Workshop materials.

I found this to be a very valuable workshop, going into the more practical aspects of the work, which we rarely have time to cover during the training course. I found the pace of the last two sessions, which were the most content-heavy, a little quick, and would propose perhaps extending the workshop by a few days to flesh out those two sessions with more case studies and examples, and perhaps then involve students in trying to analyze work curves / come up with follow-through activities themselves before presenting the teacher's solution that worked for that particular child. All in all it was a fascinating and valuable works.

Karen you are deeply inspiring and it was a pleasure spending those hours learning from you. I am deeply touched and feel like I'm ready to transform my environment ahahahah. Thank you so much, and I would have loved to take the year-long course if only the time difference allowed.

Dear Karen, every time I listen to your presentation- recording, the whole new world opens up to me. Please keep on, I am so grateful for all you share with us…

It was worth it from the beginning to the end. It was so revitalising to hear all your words and the first six week plan was amazing. It is great to have a talented Montessorian to inspire. And this is you. Thank you so much.

Dear Karen, as I said many times before, your work is an inspiration for me and most of all I learned from you that being positive, calm and also playful really makes the difference in the relationship with children.

Karen, thank you for sharing your experiences & wisdom with us! This will be my 3rd year as lead guide. This course has me feeling more prepared than ever. Thank you for clearly defining the roles of adults in the room & explaining ‘freedom within limits’. I am excited to implement this 6 week plan!

There are some moments in a class when you see, feel and realise that something significant is going to happen and it’s only from Karen that I have learned how to manage and amplify the significance, how to predict it and make it a part of a real sincere life of our community.

Karen, thank you so much for this very well organized workshop, full of ready to use tips and that bring us back to the essential, supporting the child in a positive way, guiding us on our way to try our best to apply Montessori’s principles.

Feedback from Montessori Unwrapped Yearly Mentorship Programme

Thank you, Karen, for this deep diving into the Montessori science, for reminding us that the work is that of the child himself and that we are in the service of the child, for all the thoughts related to the Montessori teacher and all the beautiful and positive ways in which we can best support the development of each child.

There is nothing that I could suggest to improve the theory, I thought it was very well structured, well explained, and with a personal touch and insight, sprouting from years of experience in the environment, not only working with children from 3-6 but also 0-3 and 6-12. Something that I did not experience in my AMI course training. I felt that the mentorship program offered me a more personal touch and better insight into Maria Montessori`s lectures. I truly admire the way that you come across, which at no point I found boring, repeating or in some way reading from a script.

The best moments for me were the ones that offered the most insights into the daily routine of the community were the times when we analysed the work curves and how you, as a team, followed that through with the pedagogical meetings and all the follow-ups. I have never seen such a pathway to the child’s development, not in my AMI course, and not in any places that I have observed. I wish that I could have the opportunity to work alongside your team, to deepen my practical skills, and also to implement everything that I gained through the mentorship program.

The only change that I would make, and I must reiterate, but I understand the reasons, is to have all the recordings of the program. It is a huge difference for me, when I have my notes and my understanding at the moment when the session is held, and after a while to be able to go back to your sessions, after I had time to process the information and implement them in the environment, listening again to your words and wisdom and go back to the environment with a new understanding.

Excellent, attending this program during the whole school year gave me an opportunity to revisit practices and my state of mind, to refocus, to reflect, and gave me weekly challenges to try out in the classroom. It also allowed me to try out things and to feel the joy of seeing a difference. Seeing the children’s faces and reactions after I implemented these things is priceless.

I can never have enough and I could be in this mentorship programme forever. You will probably see me in many other of your programmes in the future.

Wonderful sessions because we revisited the theory in a more profound way, always going back to Dr. Montessori’s words. Theory that became more meaningful and profound. For the first time after my training and years of work with the children, I was able to really reflect on the philosophical aspects of my work. The lectures prepared us for the practical sessions and supported our journey of spiritual preparation. It touched all aspects of our work with the children.

The practical sessions were really inspirational and wonderful. To experience the set-up, the mood, the intention of a presentation as a gift, and to see the different ways we can extend the work with a material through the presentation of points of consciousness was not priceless. These are things that can hardly be presented at training. I think that we can only get this after finishing our training and having experienced the challenges of being in a classroom and working with children. I wanted more, and I would love to see these presentations again!! So much to take from these practical sessions! I could be in a mentorship program endlessly and still learn so many things.

I had taken two training’s with you in the past that made quite a difference in my classroom and in my mindset: Seeing is Believing and The First Six Weeks. I’m familiar with your passion, expertise, solid application of systems and philosophy, your level of knowledge of theory. I knew that participating in anything that you offered would be wonderful for me. I will be looking for more opportunities to attend your programmes and training.

This programme was a pending part of my training and work with the children, something I missed when I started working in a classroom, and something that would have made my experience more meaningful and less stressful. I believe that every Guide needs mentoring, so this programme was amazing for me, even in my tenth year as a Lead Children’s House Guide.

I decided to attend the programme because, as a newly graduated teacher, I felt this programme would cover the bits and grits of what only the gift of experience, passion and dedication can give you. And this programme has not only fulfilled, but also exceeded my expectations. Thank you for sharing your insights, techniques, love, and humility with us all!

I liked the security to do my job in the children´s house in a more practical way. I have learned tricks to use with my students regarding materials and personal approach. I like how we have gone more in detail with the point of consciousness and the presentations. Learning that each presentation can offer something different, I found it very important to encourage motivation, new challenges and repetition.

I really liked the steps Karen has given to observe children, and I loved the way she made those detailed plans of development adapted to each child's needs.

I loved the amount of essential information that I received. This programme has answered all my questions from how to follow children's interests and plan presentations based on their interests, how to seduce them into repeating activities and get to concentration, from how to better start a school year to how to understand the true nature of each child and thus help them reveal themselves.

I loved that it was a very uplifting programme which reminded me of my role as a Montessori guide.I also enjoyed Karen’s support and openness throughout the entire programme.

As I had heard Karen's lectures before, I knew I wanted to hear her again and again. And I was not wrong, this mentorship program was a wonderful year spent, during which I gained very valuable knowledge for myself as a Montessori guide. And of course the biggest beneficiaries of all this are the children :)! Thank you!!!

I have been in the WhatsApp group for some time and after co-teaching for two years and feeling frustrated by having to compromise on certain parts of my training I finally got my “own” class and felt it was the right time to start the unwrapped program. It gave me everything I was hoping for and more, I felt supported, encouraged and emboldened by Karen, her wisdom and the way she delivered the sessions. I cannot thank Karen enough for all her support this year, nor can I explain what it has meant to me and how much I looked forward to these sessions each week of the year.

Overall INVALUABLE. I appreciated every drop of the Montessori nectar that Karen shared : every word is so precious and transformative. It helps us grow and helps us be much better guides and a better person.

I liked Karen’s uplifting energy that she communicates so well. It helps us to orientate ourselves, check where we are, and to be sure to stay on track. It vivids our minds, it calls for more.

Karen’s deep knowledge truly helps us to turn theory into practice. It is a gift for the guides and overall the Montessori vision that is brought to children around the world.

I loved everything about this program. It has made me a much better professional. I’ve been working in Montessori environments for 19 years, but this course helped me take a much-needed "humble pill." For the first time in my Children’s House career, I feel I’ve truly understood the method and how it should be implemented. There were many moments in my career when I felt frustrated—my efforts didn’t seem to align with the results described in Montessori literature, and my environment never looked like those in videos from sources like montessoriguide.org. I even questioned whether Montessori really worked and considered leaving the method altogether. This programme restored my hope and faith—in Montessori, in the children, and in myself

I only wish I had access to this programme when I first began my Montessori journey. I would love to continue with the same over and over again or any other programme lead by Karen Pearce.

Besides the content, which is very carefully chosen and presented, I liked the fact that it is very well thought out and also time wise. Not too long, not too short, just one hour theory and one hour practice.

The mentor, YOU! I liked your smile, your realism and the freshness you offer every time. You are full of life and contagious with that.

I like that the program is consistent, it keeps you alert, Thank you, Karen, from the bottom of my heart!
